Kathmandu Foods Rayo Gundruk 100 Gm is sun-dried and fermented mustard leaves. It is one of the traditional and most popular dishes of Nepal. Rayo gundruk is dark brown in color and has an intense flavor. When cooked it has a mild sourness and unique fragrance. Rayo Gundruk is usually made as soup or curry combined with potato and maseura and eaten with freshly steamed rice.
It can also be made into a pickle known as Gundruk ko achar which has a salty, spicy, and savory taste made with tomato and seasonings. Dry gundruk with anchovies is also popular as a side dish.
