Ahmed Vermicelli 150 gm are long, extra thin noodles made up of wheat flour. Vermicelli is most cooked for dessert purposes. The golden-brown strands of vermicelli are roasted and milk and sugar are added to make sevai kheer. You can add nuts and saffron to enhance the taste. Vermicelli is also used as an addition to soups, but it can also be used for meat or vegetable casseroles.
The thread-like noodles are incorporated in various side dishes and curries as well. Vermicelli is great for stir-fries with curry powder, chili sauce, and steamed fish or grilled meats, and a fresh, simple dressing.
